Established in 1933 in St. Etienne by Joseph Chambon, the company started out with the manufacture of automobile, truck and compressor crankshafts. 1952 sets the start of a continuous involvement in motor sport, when a fruitful co-operation with engine tuner Amédée Gordini started. This commitment to racing excellence never faded and lead to numerous titles in the most prestigious motor racing series and events worldwide.

Its commitment to quality and service excellence was reinforced with the ISO 9002 certification in 1994.
